The Association of Tartan Army Clubs (ATAC) was formed in 2000 to act on behalf of fans of the Scottish national team, both home and away. ATAC directly represents over 1500 members of affiliated Tartan Army clubs throughout Scotland and beyond, but does not claim to directly represent the Tartan Army.
Each affiliated club sends a representative to the ATAC committee. This committee meets regularly with Scottish Football Association, promoting the best interests of every Scotland fan. Before ATAC was formed, there was no formal dialogue between Scotland fans and the SFA.
You don't have to be a member of an affiliated Tartan Army Club to get your viewpoint across. ATAC will listen to any point raised by a member of the Scotland Supporters Club. If you have an issue you wish to raise, please email us.
Liechtenstein and Spain: Message from Derek Kirkwood, SFA
15 October 2011
Just a personal thank you from me for all the help with the matches in Liechtenstein and Spain which both went incredibly well. The Police and British Embassies in both countries were nervous about the 'Tartan Invasion' and it took a lot of work and convincing them that it would be fine which we both knew it would be.
I was very proud of the response the guys gave to the request about the national anthem issue and also their behaviour in Spain which was simply superb. I have had many platitudes from the authorities including the UEFA Delegates regarding the fans behaviour and believe me when I say they have enhanced an already great reputation, well done to everyone.
Can I ask that you pass on my thanks to your members and let them know of the further respect they have so rightly earned from the authorities.
Thanks to everyone involved.

Brazil v Scotland
29 March 2011 - Letters from ATAC to SFA
Following the Brazil v Scotland friendly on 27 March, the Association of Tartan Army Clubs has written to the SFA on two separate matters. The first letter concerns the false allegations of racism made by Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior towards Scotland fans after the match. The second is to express gratitude to the Metropolitan Police and Arsenal stewards for their courteous and professional attitude in and around the stadium.
The letters can be downloaded below.

No Team GB campaign
ATAC is one of the international fans organisations from around Great Britain which opposes the formation of a joint Great Britain Football team at the Olympic Games.
It is our view that such a move toward a joint team could severely jeopardise the independent status of the four Home Associations. All four Associations have a proud tradition of very long standing which fans from the four countries wish to retain and any move toward a joint team is seen a major threat to this status.
There is a view within FIFA, the world governing body, that England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales should compete jointly under the banner of Great Britain on a permanent basis. It is our view that a joint Great Britain football team at the Olympics would further enhance their case.
